Highlands having altitudes of 1,500m-2000m above sea level, temperature ranging between 15-30⁰C, annual rainfall of 1500mm-2500mm, well balanced and slightly acidic soils, gently sloppy terrain, a good vegetation of shade trees and well-drained sites are the underlying natural factor that make Ethiopian coffee a premium from the true origin
